Lana Condor Reveals 'To All The Boys' Production Shut Down So She Could Go to the Met Gala 2019

Lana Condor shared a Met Gala fun fact from her first time last year!

The 22-year-old actress was actually in the middle of filming the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before sequel when she attended the 2019 fashion event.

Lana took to her Instagram story, on what would have been the day of the 2020 Met Gala, to reveal that the movie actually shut down production for the day just so she could attend the gala.

“Fun fact- we were shooting To All The Boys 2 during Met Gala. I worked everyday, so for a hot second I thought I wasn’t going to be able to attend the gala. I was HEARTBROKEN,” Lana shared. “Then, like a d–n fairy godmother, production agreed to halt production for ONE day so I could go. It was literally [a] miracle, and I am so grateful for everyone that helped make that happen.”

“The catch was- I HAD to be back in time for work the next day (Tuesday). That meant- I flew from Vancouver to NYC, did the Met, did the after parties, got RIGHT on a plane back to Vancouver in the EARLY EARLY morning (without sleeping & still having my glam on) and speed to work just to make it on time,” Lana added. “If I didn’t make it on time- I’d cost the production a TON of money. The saving grace was the time difference.”

Lana shared all of this on a photo of her “literally in tears bc I made it 5 minutes early.”
