Hutch Dano and Adam Hicks are taking their love for boarding to Disney XD’s reality sports series, Next X!
The Zeke & Luther stars will serve as the hosts of the series, which features professional skateboarders Bucky Lasek and Rune Glifberg and professional BMX riders Daniel Dhers and Gary Young, as they pair up with four talented amateurs to help sharpen their technical skills, perform new tricks and try to become the next generation’s action sports superstars.
The young athletes include Jamie Cooper-Ellis, Heimana Reynolds, Alana Smith, and Tucker Smith — one of whom will be named the “Next X” and get the opportunity to showcase his or her action sports skills on the course at X Games 16.
The new season of Next X premieres NEXT MONDAY, June 21 @ 7:15PM ET/PT on Disney XD.
Daniel Curtis Lee, Adam Hicks and Hutch Dano kick back on the set of their new music video, “In The Summertime,” in downtown Los Angeles earlier last month.
The song is actually a cover of the 1970 classic by British pop-blues band Mungo Jerry. The video also features Disney XD stars Logan Miller, Caitlyn Taylor Love, David Lambert and the Sprouse Twins!
Daniel told JJJ on the set of the video about the collaboration: “This video is going to be sick! We have Syndrome Studios doing the editing, which they’re the ones who did T-Pain‘s ‘Chopped That Screw.’”
He continued, “Last year, we just did the original song. It was all his lyrics and all happy and stuff. Not really my type of music. This year, Adam and I wrote this song [the rapping lyrics] and it’s just going to be us and our creativity coming out, showing the kids our thing.”

Adam Hicks, Hutch Dano, Daniel Curtis Lee and Ryan Newman all cringe as they watch a friend crash in this new still from Zeke & Luther.
In “Tall Stack of Waffles,” After a doctor tells Luther (Hicks) he’s going to grow to be over seven feet tall, he decides to retire his skateboard when he realizes there aren’t any professional skateboarders that tall. Meanwhile, Zeke (Dano) sets out to show Luther that size doesn’t matter when it comes to doing something you love.
And in “Airheads,” Zeke, Luther, Kojo (Lee) and Ozzie (Nate Hartley) form an air-band as a new hobby, but when Luther feels Zeke’s performance isn’t on par with the other band mates, he fires Zeke from the band. Meanwhile Ginger (Newman) tries to win all 12 Blue Ribbon categories at the local county fair.
“Tall Stack of Waffles” premieres Monday, March 22 and “Airheads” airs on Monday, March 29 @ 7:30PM ET/PT on Disney XD.

Hutch Dano shows off the JJJ coasters as he arrives at Variety‘s 2009 Power of Youth event held at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon (December 5).
The 17-year-old actor bonded with JJJ over his need to see something about his upcoming flick, Ramona & Beezus, with Selena Gomez. He shared, “I’m really anxious to see Ramona & Beezus. I’m hoping to see something soon. As an actor, I’m just anxious for it (laughs). I want to see a trailer…I want to see how it turned out.”
Hutch also caught us up to speed on what’s to come on Zeke & Luther, saying, “It’s been crazy on set. We’re about ten episodes in and there’s about 26 to film. We’ve been doing a lot of night shoots lately.”

In the new episode “Haunted Board,” Zeke (Dano) and Luther (Hicks) unknowingly buy a skateboard that has supernatural powers and the skateboard leads them on a spooky adventure to find its original owner.

Adam Hicks and Hutch Dano pick up some cool refreshments as they continue touring the capital city of London on Sunday afternoon (August 30).
Hutch, 17, was in the mood for a little extra “bite,” as he picked up a large Tizer drink. Adam left empty handed. Guess he wasn’t as thirsty as Hutch!
The Zeke & Luther stars are in London to promote the launch of Disney XD in England. They even helped to set a new world record with the biggest ever game of virtual video game of keepy-uppy at London’s Parklife on Friday.

In the next episode of Zeke & Luther, “Luck Be a Rodent Tonight,” Zeke (Hutch Dano) and Luther (Adam Hicks) hire Stinky Cast (Andy Pessoa) to shoot a skateboarding video (showcasing their wicked moves) to post online and legitimize themselves as skaters. But, Luther’s new good luck charm, a rat, eats the only copy of Zeke and Luther’s skateboarding video before the big premiere.
