Issac Ryan Brown Spills on the 'Raven's Home' Cast: 'They Make You Step Up Your Game'

Issac Ryan Brown Spills on the 'Raven's Home' Cast: 'They Make You Step Up Your Game'

Issac Ryan Brown is spilling the deets on his Raven’s Home castmates and he has nothing but great things to say!

The 12-year-old actor opened up about the show’s stars Raven Symone and Anneliese van der Pol as well as Navia Robinson and Sky Katz.

Raven and Anneliese, they are probably the funniest people I know! I was amazed by how humble they were and how much work they put in…kind of makes you want to step up your game,” Isaac explained.

He added, “Our cast is just really incredible.”

Check out all that Issac had to say about Navia and Sky in the video below…

Raven Symone Talks Her Strong Friendship with Anneliese van der Pol

Raven Symone and Anneliese van der Pol have one of the strongest friendships in the business and the key to it all is making an effort to keep in touch.

The two Raven’s Home stars went through just about everything side by side growing up and came out on top.

“It would have to be the camaraderie we had behind the scenes,” Raven shared with Buzzfeed. “We had such a fun time. I don’t know how many cakes I’ve had in my face and hair, all of the costumes we had, and the fact that we were a family.”

Raven adds of first connecting with Anneliese, “We are still close today, we chilled after the show ended. It was funny because, like, I’m this person: I don’t text you every day, I might not call you every day, you might hear from me maybe once a month. But that’s because I’m workin’, that’s ’cause I’m talking to my momma half the time, and she [Anneliese] understood that.”

“So we always had tabs on each other, so I moved here [to NYC] and she called me and was like, ‘You’re moving to New York?!’ I’m like, ‘Yeah!’ She’s like, ‘I’m already here!’ So we had our moment there, we went out a couple times, but we’ve always taken care of each other on our off time.”

We might say others are friendship goals, but really Raven and Anneliese invented the term.

'Raven's Home' Star Anneliese van der Pol Talks Playing a Divorced Mother

'Raven's Home' Star Anneliese van der Pol Talks Playing a Divorced Mother

That’s So Raven was known for being quirky, zany, and all-out hilarious, all attributes that the revival, Raven’s Home, is sure to have as well. But the revival also opens up a new topic that mirrors many women’s struggles worldwide: divorce.

Divorce “is very much a part of the show, and I could not be more proud to be a part of that,” actress Anneliese van der Pol, who plays Chelsea, told TVLine.

“In the episode we’re shooting this week, Raven is a little down on herself as a single mother. She feels alone and trapped, and Chelsea kind of has to bring her back to the surface. They’re doing this as two divorced moms, and how great is that? We’re representing single moms all over the world, and I think that’s great.”

She also says that Raven and Chelsea are as fun and kooky as ever.

“I don’t know if the parents are given the opportunity to be as funny as they can be sometimes…They’re often the B-story, which we are too at times, but Disney also has a lot of confidence in us. We’re allowed to be wacky and zany and funny, because we proved ourselves before.”

We’re so excited to see a more nuanced portrayal of moms, and we can’t wait to watch every shenanigan sure to come!

Raven’s Home premieres Friday, July 21 at 10pm ET/PT. Read the first episode summary here!
