Crystal Reed and Veronica Dunne pose separately while getting ready for the screening of Poltergeist held at Hollywood Forever on Saturday (August 27) in Hollywood.
Also in attendance at the event was fellow actress Jessica Szohr. If you haven’t seen Poltergeist, it’s a super scary film from 1982 about a family whose home is haunted by a host of ghosts.
Over the next several weeks, Cinsepia will be screening some great movies including Hitchcock‘s The Birds, True Romance, Moonrise Kingdom, and Sixteen Candles. Be sure to check out some of the screenings if you’re in the Los Angeles area! More Here! »
Crystal Reed holds a shopping bag over her shoulder while out on Wednesday afternoon (March 23) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The 31-year-old actress, who recently returned to Teen Wolf as Marie-Jeanne Valet, spoke with EW about the chatter of a spinoff about the heroine.
“We weren’t even finished filming and there was sort of that chat around set. When you are doing something that you know is going to be great, there’s this kind of magical energy on set,” she explained. “I think that I would definitely be open to something like this.”
Crystal added, “It looks great; it has a great message; and it would be a challenge for me, so yeah, I would never say never and it would be something that if done the right way, with the right people, could be really exciting.”
The 31-year-old former star’s character is still dead, which gave her hesitation about coming back.
“Allison had such an amazing end to her life, I feel like bringing her back in any way might tarnish that beautiful story,” Crystal told BuzzFeed News.
So what changed her mind? She’ll be playing Marie-Jeanne Valet, an ancestor of the Argent family.
“Basically, Jeff [Davis, the showrunner] just said, ‘France in the 1700s,’ and I was in,” Crystal said. “He was definitely playing into my emotions. He knows that I have been dying to do a period piece and I love getting my head around different accents and different cultures. He didn’t even have much of a character worked out other than it was based on the Maid of Gévaudan. And I knew the legend, so before really knowing anything further, I said yes.”
Teen Wolf airs TONIGHT, February 23 @ 9/8c on MTV.
