The 20-year-old Originals actress chatted with the mag about her role, what she hopes her career will bring her and more. Check it:
On how she relates to Davina: “Davina is a young girl growing up and transitioning into a woman. I can definitely relate to growing up. I might not have the super powers of a vampire as a best friend, but I like to think there’s some similarities between us.”
On how she prepares for a role: “For me, it’s important to envision and create the world around me and the character. The beauty of acting is that each character is completely different from the next. They’ve been through different experiences and are exciting to recreate!”
On how she wants to be remembered: “I would like to be remembered for playing a lot of different characters and for doing movies I’m really passionate about. I want to do work that I am proud of and that have challenging roles. I love playing characters that are nothing like me.”
In tonight’s episode “Sanctuary”, after a series of strange encounters, Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) becomes intrigued by a mysterious girl who has recently arrived to the insane asylum. At the bayou, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) struggles with coming clean to Jackson (Nathan Parsons) about the secrets she’s keeping and is surprised when he shares his own secret involving Hayley’s parents.
Meanwhile, after learning the details of a particular marriage ritual that Hayley and Jackson must complete, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) heads to the bayou to put an end to it, but not before running into Jackson’s grandmother Mary (Debra Mooney).
In “Gonna Set Your Flag On Fire”, with Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) on the loose and hell bent on revenge, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) brings Cami to the safe house as he and Hayley return to the compound.
Hayley and Jackson (Nathan Parsons) devise a plan to bring the vampires and werewolves together to consider a truce, but tensions grow when Vincent places a spell on the compound, trapping the two sides together.
The 19-year-old actress opened up to the glossy about what she’s learned from The Originals cast. Check it:
“All the cast is so talented, and I feel really lucky to be working with all of them,” Danielle said. “Everyone has a different approach and technique, and getting to hear everyone sharing their own opinions is interesting. Usually you can sit through a class and you’re listening to the teacher talk, but with all these actors and all these different techniques, it’s cool figuring out what works best for you.”
She added, “All the guest stars that have come on too are so talented. That’s what’s cool about being on a show, so many different actors are always coming in.”
Danielle Campbell thoughtfully looks away in this new shot from the December 2014 of NKD mag.
The 19-year-old Originals actress opened up about her character Davina and working with the CW. Check it:
On Davina: “This year you really get to see her step up, really just not let anyone push her around. She is going to do anything to protect the people that she loves.”
On working on a steady show: “But it’s also been great to be on a TV show where you’re really developing the character, and you’re watching it over a period of time rather than just two hours. So I’ve learned a lot, personally.”
In “Chasing The Devil’s Tail”, when Klaus (Joseph Morgan) discovers that Elijah (Daniel Gillies) has been afflicted by Esther’s (Sonja Sohn) magic, he heads to the bayou in search of an antidote, but quickly realizes he’s not alone.
Armed with intel gathered by Aiden (Colin Woodell), Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) teams up with him, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), Cami (Leah Pipes) and Josh (Steven Kruger) and launches a plan to take down Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) by exploiting his one weakness.
Meanwhile, Vincent and Kaleb (Daniel Sharman) are forced to reconsider their own strategies. Intrigued by Davina’s unwavering attempts to create an unlinking spell, Kaleb lets her in on some secrets from his past and brings her to a place he frequented in 1914.
“Chasing The Devil’s Tail” premieres TONIGHT, Monday, November 17th @ 8PM ET/PT on The CW.
