Hayley Kiyoko Kicks Off 2018 With New Album Cover & Coachella Announcement

There are a ton of people (who you probably know personally) who say that this year is going to be their year — but Hayley Kiyoko is actually making it happen.

The “Feelings” singer not only just revealed to her fans that she’ll be playing Coachella this year, but she also just debuted the amazing cover art for her new album.

“Shout out to all of my fans who funded my pledge music for my first EP…who told people, who annoyed there neighbors, and told more people,” Hayley wrote earlier this week on Twitter. “This is our time to fully go from the bottom to the top.”

She added on Instagram about playing Coachella: “When I was 13 it was my dream to play Coachella, 13 years later….”

Hayley will be playing the music festival on both Sundays, April 15th and 22nd.

And today, Hayley is just living her best life and revealing the cover for her new album, Expectations. Check it out below!

Hayley Kiyoko Wanted To Show off Her Confidence with 'Feelings' Video

Hayley Kiyoko made us feel all the emotions in her latest music video for “Feelings” — a vision she came up with and directed herself.

The talented musician recently chatted with Billboard about the video and how she wanted to show a different side of herself in the story — the more confident, flirty side.

“In a lot of my videos I’m very upset and vulnerable. No one likes me, and I’m like, [screams] ‘AGH,’ just so sad,” Hayley explains. “So I also just wanted to show my cockier side, and more of my confidence in this video.”

She continues, “That moment when you see a cute girl and you’re like, ‘Damn, you cute.’ Like, ‘Imma try to get you.’ I wanted to show that side of myself in the video. Also, I just wanted to be playful and not in a creepy way; in a very kind of fun way.”

Hayley, who is a lesbian, also talked about showing off who she really is with the visual.

“I feel like people are starting to get the hang of it, that I’m going to always like girls and there’s always going to be a girl involved in the video.”

She adds, “There’s multiple ways of telling those stories, and you know, if I do my job correctly I should be able to tell those stories every time and have it be fresh and unique because there’s so many different parts of relationships. The before, the after, during. But I feel like people are starting to get the picture.”

Hayley Kiyoko just dropped the song and video we’ve all been waiting for.

The musician debuted her new song “Feelings” along with the official music video and we kind of can’t stop and don’t want to stop watching it.

“The lyrics are so truthful to where I’m at,” Hayley shared with Buzzfeed about the track.

“I’m currently single, and I remember going into the studio and just complaining, ‘Why do I have to be so ashamed of feelings? Why is that so bad?’ The lyrics are so dead-on with how I feel. I hope people will relate and connect to it as well.”

She adds about the video, “I want people to watch the video and have it remind them of that first moment – the butterflies when you first get hooked on somebody.”

And fans are loving it, just like JJJ.

One fan says: “my friends and i are watching feelings by @HayleyKiyoko for the first time and we’re literally SCREAMING”; with another adding, “I’m literally crying over @HayleyKiyoko ‘s new single. Like sobbing. Ugly, sapphic, sobbing.”
