Katherine McNamara smiles super big during the Shadowhunters panel discussion at 2015 New York Comic Con held at The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on Saturday afternoon (October 10) in New York City.

The 19-year-old actress was joined by co-stars Dominic Sherwood, Harry Shum, Jr., Alberto Rosende, Matthew Daddario, Emeraude Toubia and Isaiah Mustafa, as well as showrunner Ed Decter, executive producer McG and author Cassandra Clare.

It was announced at the panel that Shadowhunters will premiere on Tuesday, January 12th @ 9PM ET/PT on ABC Family/Freeform.

Plus, the network will also premiere a series special — Beyond the Shadows: The Making of Shadowhunters on Sunday, December 6th @ 9:30PM ET/PT. The special will give fans of The Mortal Instruments book series a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the making of the television show, which will include the cast talking about how they landed their roles and a glimpse into how the cast got into fighting shape.

Congrats to Matthew Daddario and Isaiah Mustafa — they’re just joined ABC Family’s Shadowhunters!

Matthew will play Alec Lightwood, who joins Jace and his sister, Isabelle, in their pursuit of demonic creatures. He’s tortured by his romantic love for Jace, who is his adoptive brother and fighting partner. The eldest of the group, his strict moral code forces him to follow the law to the letter.

Isaiah will play Luke Garroway, an NYPD detective investigating a string of “demonic” murders. Luke feels a fatherly instinct to protect Clary, a strong affection for Jocelyn and has secrets of his own. Once a strong and powerful Shadowhunter, he has since become the thing he once hated most � a werewolf pack leader.

The two join Katherine McNamara (Clary Fray), Dominic Sherwood (Jace Wayland), Alberto Rosende (Simon) and Emeraude Toubia (Isabelle Lightwood).
