Zayn Malik keeps close to his mom, Trisha, while leaving a restaurant on Friday night (August 28) in Los Angeles.
The mother and son duo stuck together as cameras snapped away after the 22-year-old singer was called out by Rixton‘s Jake Roche about his treatment over his breakup with Perrie Edwards.
“The way he’s treated her is horrible. He’s not a very nice man,” Jake shared with The Sun. “Professionally he’s talented but – and I’m speaking from what I’ve seen – he should be ashamed.”
Jake continued, “I’d at least send an email! It’s more formal. But it’s not about treating a woman like that, it’s about treating a human like that. It’s disrespectful. And the whole re-tweeting thing. He finished with her! Why antagonise it? It’s done! It’s a shame. He’s talented but he’s spoiled it.”
Jake is engaged to Perrie‘s Little Mix band mate Jesy Nelson.
They’ve only been engaged for two weeks, but JJJ can’t help but wait until Jesy Nelson and Jake Roche tie the knot.
The 24-year-old Little Mix singer has been opening up about the surprise proposal Jake, 22, pulled off during their soundcheck.
“To be honest, it was all a bit of a blur. I thought we’d finished sound check and then long and behold, old Ed [Sheeran] walks on. I had my back turned to him and the girls were like: ‘Jess, Jess,’ and then I turned around and he sang mine and Jake‘s song ‘Tenerife Sea’. And as soon as he sang that, I just balled,” she dished to Key 103.
Jesy continued, “We’ve spoken about [marriage] but I never thought that it was going to happen, not today! It sounds so strange but it felt like the feeling of when we won The X Factor.”
She added with MTV about wedding planning: “I want to start planning soon, but I don’t know if I’ll have time…”
Congrats to Jake Roche and Jesy Nelson — they just got engaged!
Rixton‘s Jake, 22, got down on one knee in front of a crowd last night with buddy Ed Sheeran playing in the background to ask Little Mix‘s Jesy, 24, to be his wife.
“A year ago today I met her at manchester arena, so it was only right, with a little help from my friend, that this happened. Best day of my life,” Jake captioned on Instagram, sharing the news with fans.
Jesy added, “I cannot believe what has just happened! The most surreal moment of my life and everyone that I love most was there to share it with us! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world rite now literally cannot stop crying! Future Mrs Roche ??”

“Do you know what? I think it’s different for girl bands,” Jesy told BBC. “Fans can find it intimidating if you’re being sexy.
Perrie added, “We’re not about that anyway. We’re in our own lane, we know what we stand for. We want to inspire people.”

Jake Roche is one super romantic guy…so much that he’s making all the other Little Mix boyfriends jealous!
The 22-year-old Rixton front man is currently dating Jesy Nelson, 24, and in a recent interview Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock dished that Jake is making their own boyfriends jealous.
“Jake went away for however long on tour and, as one of my birthday presents, for every day that he was away he wrote me a letter until he came back. He was away for just over five weeks. There was a pile, he gave me to them before he went,” Jesy shared about one of the big gestures he’s done for her.
Leigh-Anne added, “My boyfriend Jordan‘s like ‘It’s Jake this, Jake that. I’ve got to start catching up. [Our boyfriends] are romantic, but Jake‘s like another species of man.”
Ed Sheeran jumps on stage with a random fan for an impromptu duet in the middle of the mall this past weekend!
The 24-year-old singer/songwriter was walking around and shopping with Rixton‘s Jake Roche when he heard a girl singing his song “Thinking Out Loud.”

“Went on a peaceful shopping trip with Ed to the mall,” Jake captioned the video. “There was a kids talent show going on and he heard someone singing ‘thinking out loud’. Only made sense. Shopping was cut short but what an incredible thing to witness.”
