Sam Smith just gave us a brand new song that we’re currently listening to on repeat – check out “Writing’s On the Wall” right now!

The song is the theme for the upcoming James Bond 007 movie Spectre, which hits theaters in November. You can download it now on iTunes.

“Writing’s On the Wall,” co-written by Sam and Jimmy Napes, is the first Bond theme song to be recorded by a British male solo artist since 1965.

“This is one of the highlights of my career,” Sam said in a statement. “I am honored to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it.”

Sam Smith finally revealed that he will be performing the theme song for the new James Bond flick Spectre!

The 23-year-old vocal powerhouse both wrote and recorded the song which is titled “Writing’s On The Wall.”

It had long been rumored that Sam would be following in Adele‘s footsteps and singing the theme song, but he previously shot down the reports.

Sam took to his Instagram to share his excitement about the announcement.

“This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it,” Sam posted.

“Writing’s On The Wall” will be available for purchase on September 25 and is available for pre-order here.
