“Hopefully you don’t have to shave your beard. But if you do… have a little fun with it. (And make your wife and daughter happy) Here we come @cwjanethevirgin,” Justin wrote. “Btw, I made this with the app I created for pregnant women to track their belly growth…. The three friends partnered up to create BellyBump, the new “Three Men and a Baby App,” which “captures one of the most important journeys of your life through time-lapse videos of your growing belly and growing baby once born.”
“When [my wife] Emily was pregnant with Maiya, I really wanted to make her a time lapse movie but I kept forgetting and it was actually a lot harder than I thought it would be,” Justin told the mag. “And I’m a filmmaker so it should be fairly intuitive for me. So when she was pregnant I thought wouldn’t it be fun if I was able to do something that was unique and make this whole spread of her belly growing but it was really hard. Originally it was going to be something to remind me to take a picture of her belly, then it morphed into this really cool time lapse app.”
“While yes, this app is fun and it’s been a blast making it with two of my best friends at its core BellyBump is really about celebrating the journey of motherhood,” Justin added. “I’ve never been more in awe of what women are capable of since experiencing my wife give birth and become a mom, so we just wanted to create something that could be useful to moms everywhere and help them in some way capture that magic.”
You can download the BellyBump app now on the App Store.
The 32-year-old Jane The Virgin star opened up about playing Rafael, which guy he would’ve picked for Jane and more. Check it:
On Rafael: “Jane is very much the part of the fabric that makes America so great, while Rafael, to a certain extent, is part of what makes America great and awful. He is entitled and very wealthy, but at the same time, he provides jobs…I think the audience roots for them because they see how different Jane is to everybody else in Rafael’s life.I hope they can see the love he has for her and despite the crappy things that are happening, how he longs for a family he never had.”
On Rafael or Michael for Jane: “If I was in Jane’s shoes, I would’ve picked the person that made me feel the safest, the best. Maybe I would’ve picked Michael. I don’t know. I’m not in Jane’s shoes, but I definitely understand that it is a tough choice to make because on the other hand, you have someone who loves you deeply who you have a family with. I understand why it was so hard for her.”
On My Last Days: “I had spent the last almost 2 years doing a documentary series called My Last Days where I traveled the country and I told the stories of unique individuals who were living amazing lives, but who were also dying of a terminal illness. In those 2 years, I had lost a lot of friends, very dear friends, to cancer. And the idea that here I am now jumping back into acting after taking a hiatus and getting to play a character with that life experience felt meant to be.”
