Kodi Smit-McPhee walks the red carpet with girlfriend Rebecca Phillipou for the premiere of his new film, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, held at Palace Of Fine Arts Theater on Thursday night (June 26) in San Francisco, Calif.
The 18-year-old actor plays Alexander in the film, where a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
“#DawnOfApes premier was amazing! Can’t wait for the public to see this,” Kodi wrote with a pic from the premiere.
Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes is out on July 11th.

Ed Westwick and Kodi Smit-McPhee got the color memo as they arrive at the premiere of Romeo And Juliet held at ArcLight Cinemas on Tuesday night (September 24) in Hollywood.
The 26-year-old British actor plays Tybalt in the upcoming film. Tybalt is Lady Capulet’s nephew, and Juliet’s (Hailee Steinfeld) short-tempered cousin, with a thirst for challenge.
Kodi, 17, plays Benvolio, Montague’s nephew and Romeo’s (Douglas Booth) cousin.
Romeo and Juliet opens in theaters on Friday, October 11th.

Via Variety, the futuristic thriller film will be directed by Jake Paltrow, brother of actress Gwyneth.
The movie is set in a violent near-future where water has become the most precious — and fastest-dwindling — resource on the planet and turns on a 14-year-old boy forced use his wits to survive.

Kodi Smit-McPhee is all smiles at the premiere of his new flick, ParaNorman held at AMC CityWalk on Sunday afternoon (August 5) in Universal City, Calif.
The 16-year-old actor told EW, “It’s pretty ironic and funny that I always get these kind of dramatic, sad, kind of low-down movies that are really intense, I guess. But I don’t mind. I think it’s good to get those types of movies, ’cause they’re the ones that stick with you.”
Kodi was joined on the carpet by costar Jodelle Ferland, who voices Aggie.
