Dove Cameron is revealing some things about Liv & Maddie that you may have never known!

In a recent interview, the 23-year-old dished on the difficult part of filming the first season, as well as how they pulled off her playing twin characters.

“I’ve never tried to play twins before. It was complicated at first. In the first season it was complicated because we still had the same amount of time as every other sitcom. On the Disney lot, we had three days of rehearsal and two days of filming. And we had to do everything twice, so that was a little bit crazy,” Dove said. “Disney was like, ‘You have three days to film, that’s totally fine.’ Then they asked us to do it once in two days, because it’s obviously way less expensive. And they were like, ‘Oh you can do it. Do it like that forever!’ It was SO hard for the first season, then we figured it out. Then it was second nature.”

She also dished how they pulled it off playing two roles – she had two body doubles!

“You get a body double, who’s your height, your general body size, and then we all wore wigs because everybody’s hair looks different. Even if you have the same hair color, your hair texture and length,” Dove added. “Whenever I was Maddie, my body double Emmy would play Liv, and then when I was Liv, my body double Shelby would play Maddie. Whenever you see me on camera, it’s always me, it’s never another girl. But if you see me hugging somebody, that’s a body double. It’s a long story, camera trickery.”

Liv & Maddie's Jessica Marie Garcia Is Up For A Jillow Movie

Liv & Maddie's Jessica Marie Garcia Is Up For A Jillow Movie

Reboots are all the rage these days, so it’s not crazy to think about a Liv & Maddie reboot, right? Jessica Marie Garcia doesn’t think so either.

The actress, who played Maddie’s BFF Willow in the Disney Channel show, opened up about the possibility of the show coming back again.

“I would do it in a heartbeat, I would love to go back and work with that cast and crew again,” she told Meaww.

However, Jessica is leaning towards a movie all about Jillow, which we are on board for.

“I would love to do a movie or something in a few years and maybe Willow and Joey Rooney would be married with some cute kids with glasses,” she shared.

If you remember, Willow and Joey had a short-lived relationship in the show’s final season after she crushed on him for years.

Watching Jessica Marie Garcia‘s character Willow split with Joey on Liv & Maddie was one of the more devastating parts of the show.

After all, it seemed like Jillow was forever!

Still, though no longer on-air, Jillow shippers will be happy to know that Jessica is every bit as sentimental about the pair as we are.

A fan tweeted the actress today asking if she kept anything from the set, and she had the best answer.

“I kept the JILLOW license plate from our date and my cardboard cutout,” Jessica answered.

Well-chosen. Brb, we’re going to binge-watch old episodes now.

Dove Cameron Sings 'Better in Stereo' With Fans for Make-a-Wish

We haven’t heard former Liv & Maddie star Dove Cameron use her angelic vocals on “Better in Stereo” (the show’s theme song) since the show ended three months ago — until now, that is!

The 21-year-old Descendants 2 actress sang the song with two of her die-hard fans, Matt and Parisa, as part of her work with Make-a-Wish America, and the video is totally adorable.

“My job brings a lot of beauty into my life,” Dove writes in her Instagram caption, “but none ever quite as beautiful as moments like these. thank you matt & parisa for adding to the deep quality & light in my life, you and your spirit will never leave me.”

We think it’s amazing that Dove has such a close relationship with her fans, from getting fries and manicures with one lucky group that she ran into on the street to participating in causes like Make-a-Wish Foundation.
