Rupert Grint Shouldn't Be Disappointed About Being Sorted Into Hufflepuff & Here's Why

Ron Weasley is a Gryffindor, so does that mean Rupert Grint should be to?

After taking the Pottermore quiz, Rupert was actually revealed to be in the Hufflepuff House — something that he’s a little disappointed in.

But why? Why is he disappointed by that?

Hufflepuffs are kind of awesome people. We mean, they have Cedric Diggory, and Hannah Abbott and let’s not forget about the amazing Tonks.

They even have a claim to fame with Newt Scamander — you know, that guy who wrote “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them“. (He even got a movie about it, too.)

Even Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling loves Hufflepuff.

“There comes a point in the book where each house has a chance to rise up to a certain challenge,” she once said in an interview just before the final book came out. “The Slytherins decided they’d rather not play, the Ravenclaws some play, some won’t, but the Hufflepuffs stay to fight.”

She continues, “The Gryffindors compromised of lots of full hearty and show off people. The Hufflepuffs stayed for a different reason. They didn’t want to show off, they weren’t being reckless, that’s the essence of Hufflepuff.”

Jo added, “My daughter Jessica said to me recently, who wasn’t sorted into Hufflepuff, ‘I think we should all want to be Hufflepuffs.’ I can only say to you, I would not be disappointed at all to be in Hufflepuff. I’m a little upset anyone does feel that way.”

See, even Jo wants to be in Hufflepuff! So, stop being disappointed Rupert.

Rupert Grint Watched Someone Else Play Ron Weasley & It Was Totally Weird

Rupert Grint Watched Someone Else Play Ron Weasley & It Was Totally Weird

Rupert Grint will always be Ron Weasley…even when another actor portrays him onstage.

In a new interview with EW while promoting his new series, Snatch, Rupert opened up about seeing actor Paul Thornley play Ron when he went to see the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London’s West End last year.

“I wasn’t really prepared for it,” he shared. “It hit me quite hard. It was kind of like an out of body experience. You’re seeing someone else take on a character that you’ve known for so long.”

Rupert adds, “I kind of grew up with Ron. I do feel like a lot of me is in that character. I have a weird relationship with Ron, where it’s kind of basically me. And seeing it live on is very surreal.”

However, he still loved the show.

“It’s an amazing show. I actually loved it. It blows your mind to see this magic world on stage live in front of you. It’s amazing. It just shows how clever J.K. (Rowling) is to be reinventing it and making it live on in something different. It’s amazing.”

“It’s kind of the way we stay in contact. We see each other occasionally, but I haven’t seen everyone in a long time,” Rupert told Huffington Post. “It’s quite hard to socially see everyone, so being in the same room with everybody is usually quite surreal and not that easy. We shared such a unique experience and such a strange childhood. We’ll always kind of have that together. Again, we’re always gonna be there for each other, [and] support each other.”

Rupert Grint Gets Recognized as Ed Sheeran Almost More Than Himself!

Rupert Grint Gets Recognized as Ed Sheeran Almost More Than Himself!

Fans can’t seem to tell Rupert Grint and Ed Sheeran apart!

The 28-year-old Harry Potter actor recently explained that half of the time, people recognize him as Ed!

“It’s kinda 50/50 now. It’s like if someone stops me, it could go either way. I could be Ed or I could be me,” he said on The Late Late Show.

Since it happens so frequently, Rupert sometimes just plays along, even when another celebrity thinks he’s Ed!

Rupert added, “Singer Leo Sayer came up to me and said he loved my music, of course thinking I was Ed. And I just played along!”

Besides the duo looking alike, Rupert also starred in Ed‘s “Lego House” music video, so that could have something to do with it!
