“‘Thrills’ was written about the struggle I had with life, the industry, and realizing that my priorities weren’t straight,” Sam told JJJ. “I have been SO focused on getting ‘there’ that I wouldn’t go to parties, for fear of something bad happening, or I would just focus on my end goal. Where the hell is the fun in that? So I focused on writing about the NEED for you to try it all, even once, even if you fail, and enjoy the ride of it all.”
