The Host is a love story set in the future, where Earth is occupied by a species who erase the minds of their human hosts, leaving their bodies intact.

Melanie Stryder (Ronan) is one of the last surviving humans who fights back, risking her life for the people she cares about most – Jared (Irons), Ian (Jake Abel), her brother Jamie (Chandler Canterbury) and her Uncle Jeb (William Hurt) – proving that love can conquer all.

The 18-year-old actress was picked up by her father and will be spending time with her family for the Festive Season.

We’ve seen Snow White come to life, Sleeping Beauty is on it’s way and now Cinderella is up to bat.

Via Variety, Disney is eying three young actresses to play the title character in their live action version of a new film — Saoirse Ronan, The Three Musketeer‘s Gabriella Wilde and Anna Karenina‘s Alicia Vikander.

The three are expected to test for the role for director Mark Romanek‘s still untitled project soon. Universal Pictures also has a Cinderella project in the works.

Saoirse Ronan films a late night scene on the set of The Host on Wednesday night (November 14) in Los Angeles.

The 18-year-old actress kept covered in a knee length coat as she walked through the empty streets solo.

Earlier this week, Saoirse and her The Host co-stars, Max Irons and Jake Abel, stepped out together at The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 black carpet premiere.
