The Irish actress will star as the queen, Mary Stuart, in the movie of the same name.
While we all know the story of the titular queen thanks to Reign, and a little history lesson too — this movie will also focus on Mary and her cousin, Elizabeth 1′s intense relationship.
Rivals in power and in love, and female regents in a masculine world, the two must decide how to play the game of marriage versus independence.
