Earlier in the day, Abigail called out Gold’s Gym Dreamland, a franchise of the American chain located in Egypt for sexist ads which targeted women.
“Wow honestly disgusted by this @goldsgym you should be ashamed of yourselves,” Abigail posted on Instagram. “Things like this are the reason 9 year old girls develop eating disorders. Working out should be something you do for yourself, your health and your mind & body, not cuz a corporation declares your body shape isn’t what girls should look like. Also I wonder if it’s cool with Golds Gyms for men to be pear shaped? Interesting they had to single out females.”
Her post caught the attention of the parent company and they have now since terminated their franchise agreement. See all the Instagrams below:
Meanwhile, Ariel‘s Modern Family co-star Sarah Hyland was spotted shooting scenes for the show’s upcoming season with her TV dad Ty Burrell.
The cast recently celebrated the birthday of their five-year-old co-star Jeremy Maguire and Ariel posted a sweet photo of them together saying, “Happy birthday to my baby @superjmaguire <3 Love you munchkin!"
“Yeah, I mean I don’t want to get too much into the details of it, but the song for me definitely has that connection to my life personally,” Shane shared. “I think it’s important for people to know that when I do write music, it’s not made up stories.”
He added, “It’s about the heartbreak of knowing that the person that you once loved is not with you anymore — they’re with someone else. And just battling those emotions which I think are super relatable. There are a lot of personal references, obviously, and it’s very close to my own experience. I hope people can connect to it in an emotional way.”
