Congratulations, Alexa Vega and Sean Covel!

The adorable couple tied the knot TODAY in South Dakota surrounded by their family and friends. Alexa wore a gorgeous studded Ian Stuart gown.

Among the bridal party were Austin Butler (honorary ring bearer), Camilla Belle (bridesmaid) and Robert Rodriguez (He gave the bride away!).

Alexa shared in a recent interview about getting married so young, “My mom got married at 18 and started having kids at 20. I always thought that’s what was going to happen to me. But I’m a little more invested in my career than I thought I was going to be at this age and I’m happy everything is going the way I want it.”

Vying for the cutest couple ever award, Alexa Vega and fiance Sean Covel strike a pose with the JJJ coasters as they attend the 2010 Multicultural Learning Center Harmony Gala Benefit Dinner held at Pickwick Gardens in Burbank on Saturday evening (March 13).

The 21-year-old actress spoke with us last night at the dinner about how her wedding plans are coming so far. Alexa shared, “It’s a little crazy. I had no idea how tough it really is. Sean is a wonderful man and producer, so he gets how tough it is and the just really gets the planning.”

Alexa also opened up about how many times people come and ask to see her ring, saying, “It’s just recent. We kept it a secret for a little while, so that was nice. We had our quiet time with it, and now it’s out…I love showing it off. I will show this off for the rest of my life.”

The flick, filmed in Mexico late last year, is a Latina spin on Jane Austen‘s “Sense and Sensibility,” where two spoiled sisters who have been left penniless after their father’s sudden death are forced to move in with their estranged aunt in East Los Angeles.

Former Ruby & The Rockits star Alexa Vega and her producer boyfriend Sean Covel are getting married!

According to Hot Springs Star, the 21-year-old actress and 33-year-old producer are set to tie the knot in Black Hills, South Dakota next year!

Sean revealed to the paper about his plans to propose to Alexa, saying, “I planned to propose in a grove of Christmas trees in Los Angeles, but when I realized we would be back home doing a screening in Hot Springs, I knew this was the perfect opportunity, so I scrapped the old plan and whipped up a new one. My plan was to sneak in the back door while the film [Broken Hill] was playing [during a film festival] and propose backstage behind the proscenium. ”I thought it would be a cool way to have our own private moment and still be in front of 400 of my teachers, friends and family.”

Alexa shared, “I had no idea why he wanted to enter through the alley. I thought it was weird, but it seemed like an adventure. I found out later that half the town did something to help, but the entire audience kept it a secret. I went from being worried we’d get arrested for breaking and entering to suddenly realizing exactly what was happening. I think I laughed and cried and squealed all at the same time!”

Sean and Alexa will recite their vows in a ceremony on October 10, 2010.
