Skyler Samuels has been cast in the upcoming NBC thriller Bloodline!

According to Deadline, the 18-year-old actress will play the role of Bird Benson, a smart young girl who finds herself caught in the middle of an epic struggle between two warrior families in modern suburbia.

Skyler is best known for her role in the short-lived ABC Family show The Nine Lives Of Chloe King.

Breaking Bad star Jonathan Banks is also set to star as her villainous maternal grandfather.

Skyler Samuels goes drop dead red as she arrives at the 2011 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party held at Paramount Studios on Friday night (September 23) in Los Angeles.

The 17-year-old actress was joined by her former costars Grey Damon and Grace Phipps at the big event.

It was just announced earlier this month that The Nine Lives of Chloe King would not be returning to ABC Family.

“Fans of #NineLives I can’t thank u enough for all of ur support, though we r sad to see it end, we couldn’t have made it this far without u,” Skyler tweeted after the announcement.

In tomorrow night’s episode “Beautiful Day,” Still coping with her unresolved feelings for Brian (Damon), Chloe (Samuels) agrees to accompany him to meet his grandmother, Olivia, who was presumed dead.

As Brian and Olivia become reacquainted, Chloe finally receives the email she’s been hoping for; her father is in San Francisco and needs to see Chloe immediately. Desperate to see her dad again and get some answers, Chloe agrees to keep their plans secret.

Alek (Benjamin Stone) overhears Chloe admit to her mother that, while she does have feelings for him, she is in love with Brian. Heartbroken, Alek unknowingly leaves Chloe alone – and unprotected – just when she needs him the most.

In tonight’s episode “Responsible,” Paul (Ki Hong Lee) offers Alek (Stone) some valuable insight into Chloe (Skyler Samuels).

Alek takes Paul’s advice to heart and is determined to show Chloe how much she means to him, only to have his resolve tested when Alek’s mutual animosity with Brian (Damon) finally reaches its limits.

Jasmine (Alyssa Diaz) allows herself to be distracted from her Uniter duties by Zane, a visiting member of the New York pride, but her crush may prove to be a fatal mistake for the Mai.

Skyler Samuels pops out in pink as she arrives at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (August 7) at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif.

After the ceremony, the 17-year-old actress headed over to the Disney ABC Television Group Summer Press Tour Party held at Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Skyler was joined by The Nine Lives of Chloe King costar Grace Phipps at the award show.

Skyler Samuels gets a reassuring hug from Amy Pietz in this new still from The Nine Lives of Chloe King.

In next week’s episode “Heartbreaker,” Meredith (Pietz) is not happy when Chloe (Samuels) is escorted home by the police after trying to stop a late-night robbery. After searching her daughter’s laptop to find out what’s going on in her life, Meredith is unprepared by what she finds.

Meanwhile, although Chloe has a deeper connection with Alek (Benjamin Stone) than she cares to admit, she also can’t deny her feelings for Brian (Grey Damon) and when Chloe unintentionally hurts both guys, neither one of them want anything to do with her.

When the late-night robber puts the King women in danger, Chloe must do everything to protect her mother and she reaches out to someone she has come to rely on.
