Demi Lovato is being sued for copyright infringement by indie band Sleigh Bells, who think Demi copied parts of their song “Infinity Guitars” in her track “Stars.”
Last year, the duo acknowledged similar songs in a tweet to Demi, explaining that they were flattered but were never asked for permission to sample their song.

The song’s producers Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub denied sampling “Infinity Guitars” after the tweet but the group has moved forward with the lawsuit.
Sleigh Bells claims that Demi‘s song features “virtually identical content” and elements that “transcend the realm of coincidence.”
