The episode summary for the series finale episode was just released and JJJ is already crying over it.
Here’s the summary: “In the emotional 90-minute series finale of the award-winning drama, Kathryn becomes nostalgic when she realizes that it’s been five years since the switch was discovered and the two families started living together. As she searches for memories, Kathryn discovers a long buried family secret stretching all the way back to the switch that changes everything.
“Daphne competes against Mingo for a six-week paid internship in sports medicine. Bay is celebrated for her tattoo work in a magazine spread, but her struggle to prove herself as an artist to John threatens to destroy their relationship.
Toby meets Amelia, a young woman with Down Syndrome who changes his perception about his son’s future; and Melody, Emmett and Travis make some major decisions about their lives, and Regina takes a chance on love.”
Switched at Birth‘s series finale airs on Tuesday, April 11th on Freeform.
“There are a couple really heartbreaking scenes for anyone who’s ever lost a parent or a spouse [like] Regina,” executive producer Lizzy Weiss told TVLine.com. “I can just imagine feeling them so present that you could see them and talk to them one last time. For people who’ve had a loss like that, it will be, yes, quite emotional.”
In “Memory the Heart,” a mysterious young woman has Bay (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne (Katie Lerlerc) flooded with memories of their deceased father Angelo, and they must decide if they should let her into their lives.
Toby is caught between his mother’s wishes to baptize his son Carlton and his wife’s feelings about faith.
Melody asks her sons to make amends so the family can be together for her birthday, but it might be too late.
Switched at Birth airs TONIGHT, March 21 @ 9PM on Freeform.
“For so many different reasons and levels, [I was satisfied,” he told THR. “The way Angelo passed is similar to the way my brother-in-law passed when he was 29 years old.
“For me, it was the family connection that I lived with, so it was important for me to portray that. And more important than everything else, the fact that the family decided to donate his organs.”
Gilles added that it was a tough thing for his mother to watch.
“My mom refused to watch it because it was too real for her.”
Tune into the 100th episode later tonight @ 8PM ET/PT on Freeform.
In the episode, a mysterious young woman has Bay (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne (Katie Leclerc) flooded with memories of their deceased father Angelo (Gilles Marini), and they must decide if they should let her into their lives.

While there’s no new Switched at Birth this week, next week, the longtime series will air its’ 100th episode and it will remember Angelo, Bay and Daphne’s father.
When JJJ spoke to Vanessa Marano about the episode last year, they hadn’t started filming it yet.
“I don’t even know if it will be heartbreaking or not! I’m excited though for Gilles Marini to come back,” she told us.
Vanessa adds, “This entire season has a lot of returning story lines actually. We left a lot of loose ends open last season so now we’re tying everything together. There’s a lot of…it’s very much like a new year because so much time has passed and the girls are at these new places in their lives.”
