Troian Bellisario's Tribute to On-Screen Love Interest Keegan Allen Will Make You Feel Things

Troian Bellisario's Tribute to On-Screen Love Interest Keegan Allen Will Make You Feel Things

Spencer and Toby are endgame, as every Pretty Little Liars super fan knows (even if the show didn’t give it to us)– and actors Troian Bellisario and Keegan Allen are in full agreement.

Troian penned a heartfelt tribute to her on-screen love interest on Sunday (July 23) in honor of his birthday, and in the process opened up about how much it meant to her to work alongside Keegan for so many years.

“Actors don’t often get to choose who they work with,” she wrote, “Someone can be cast as your love interest for 7 years that you really have nothing in common with (or worse do not get along with). Someone who doesn’t make you laugh til you cry or endures your bad moods or asks you how they can help you get through your worst days. So when Spencer got together with Toby, I felt like I won a lottery of friendships.”

Troian then took the opportunity to gush about Keegan, showing just how deep their friendship goes.

“@keeoone Is a unicorn of a guy (yeah yeah he is insanely talented in a lot of ways, but I mean heart wise, in kindness) I couldn’t wish him more happiness and success in life and on his birthday. Keegs, thank you for being the Oby to my Sp. I’d play you in scrabble any day. Happy Birthday dork. #spobyisendgame.”

We love that they play Scrabble together. Happy belated, Keegan!

Troian Bellisario Teams Up with This Bar Saves Lives To End Child Hunger

Troian Bellisario is quickly becoming the champion we all need.

The former Pretty Little Liars actress and her husband, Patrick J. Adams, have launched This Bar Saves Lives, a snack bar that gives a life-saving meal to a child in need.

Troian, Patrick and the company have actually teamed up with Feeding America for a brand new initiative: up until Labor Day, for every bar purchased at select Starbucks and Target locations, This Bar Saves Lives will donate a meal to a child in need in the United States.

“Raising awareness about child hunger in the U.S. has always been a subject that is incredibly personal and important to me,” Troian shared in a statement. “I’m thrilled to be a part of such an exciting and important initiative.”

Patrick adds, “This Bar’s partnership with Feeding America is a powerful acknowledgement that child hunger is not just a problem overseas but something we need to tackle head-on at home. I couldn’t be more proud to be working with everyone at This Bar Saves Lives to draw more attention to this problem and to help children in need find their way to an important and potentially life-saving meal.”

Troian is pictured below with “This Selfie Saves Lives” contest winner Izzy Zarco at Viceroy Central Park in NYC on Friday (July 21).

Troian Bellasario's Use of Twins in 'Feed' Had Nothing To Do With The 'PLL' Twist

Troian Bellisario makes sure she has everything in her bag before heading out on her errands in New York City on Sunday afternoon (July 23).

The actress and writer has been out promoting her new film, Feed, around the Big Apple.

In a new interview with Cosmopolitan, Troian cleared up any confusion about her use of twins in the film and if it had anything to do with the Pretty Little Liars Hastings twins — it didn’t.

“Oh god, no, that would have been crazy!” she said about that. “Growing up, my best friends were brother and sister twins, and I always really admired their relationship and their deep bond and love for one another.”

Troian adds, “What I wanted to do is explore what it means to say goodbye to a part of yourself. The whole concept of Matt returning and speaking to Olivia is just the personification of her eating disorder, so what I needed to do was find a bond that could convey to the audience, ‘If this person spoke, you would listen.’”

Feed is available on VOD and all digital platforms NOW.

Troian Bellisario Is Glad Films Are Starting A Conversation about Eating Disorders

Troian Bellisario Is Glad Films Are Starting A Conversation about Eating Disorders

Troian Bellisario is happy that we’re finally having a conversation about eating disorders in films.

During her appearance on Build Series today (July 21), the actress opened up about shattering the taboo topic and tackling it on the silver screen.

“It’s a challenging time for this community because talking about it always brings up feelings, but I think it’s also really important for us to be open in our conversations and not be treated as a taboo subject because eating disorders are alienating,” Troian shared.

“They are isolating and they leave you to feel like nobody understands your experience and you’re suffering alone, and that’s actually how they’re designed to keep you in a place of pain. You know that your disorder is screaming so loud when it tells you, ‘You can’t ever tell anybody about this because you’ll never get out and nobody will understand you or help you.’”

Troian added, “I think the fact that we’re talking about it and making treatment not scary but a possibility for people. I think it’s a really important conversation, as challenging as it might be.”

Troian Bellisario Thinks She Would Be a Ravenclaw at Hogwarts

Troian Bellisario Thinks She Would Be a Ravenclaw at Hogwarts

Former Pretty Little Liars actress Troian Bellisario is making headlines for writing, producing, and starring in her powerful new film Feed, in which she works alongside Harry Potter star Tom Felton.

In a new interview, she revealed that her husband, Patrick J. Adams, likes to tease her about the Harry Potter connection.

“My husband tries to joke with me because he knows nothing about Harry Potter,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “He’s like, ‘You’re a Hufflepuff!’ and I’m like, ‘Stop! You can’t say that! You don’t even know!’”

She identifies as a Ravenclaw, and rightly so — writing and producing a film definitely takes “wit beyond measure,” a core value of the Ravenclaw House.

Troian Bellisario's Husband Patrick J. Adams Had A Really Hard Time With Her New Movie 'Feed'

Troian Bellisario's Husband Patrick J. Adams Had A Really Hard Time With Her New Movie 'Feed'

Troian Bellisario had to really convince and sell her husband Patrick J. Adams about her new movie, Feed, which she wrote and starred in.

The movie, where Troian addresses her eating disorder which she had just gotten over, is out this week and Patrick wasn’t the biggest fan of it at first.

“It was challenging [for him],” she shared with ET. “He met me right after I wrote this film. He didn’t know me then, so when he read it, he said, ‘The illness is very upsetting, and I don’t know if I really want to support you walking back into it.’”

Troian and Patrick had a big conversation about it and why it was important for her to do this; to tell her story.

“Then ultimately, and in having the conversation with him, [he said], ‘If this is something that we can create a conversation around and I can help, OK… but I just want to let you know that I’m going to hold your hand in the fire, but when you walk back out of this, you’re coming back to me,’” she says. “‘You’re reinvesting in your health. I’m not going to see you put yourself through this, only to fall back into it again.’”

Troian added, “He was really supportive in the way that he was like, really watching me. [He was] really protective of me.”

Troian Bellisario Opens Up About Eating 300 Calories a Day in Powerful New Essay

Troian Bellisario Opens Up About Eating 300 Calories a Day in Powerful New Essay

Former Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisario‘s new project Feed was released to the public in the United States today — and it’s a project that means the world to her.

In a new essay for Lenny Letter, Troian opens up about just how badly she treated her body when she struggled with her eating disorder.

“There is a part of my brain that defies logic,” she writes, “Once, it completely convinced me I should live off 300 calories a day, and at some point, it told me even that was too much. That part of my brain is my disease, and there was a time when it had absolute authority over me.”

She also talks about how though she has recovered, she still struggles.

“It almost killed me, and you can see that even though I have lived in recovery for ten years now, it still finds loads of fun, insidious ways to thwart me to this day. It was a difficult journey finding my way back to health. Through hard introspection, intense medical and mental care, a supportive family, friends, and a patient and loving partner, I survived, which is rare.”

We’re so glad Troian found her way to recovery and that she is opening up about her experiences through her new project.

Troian Bellisario‘s new film Feed is deeply personal to her — she is telling the world about an experience that she never felt anyone was truly able to understand.

Now, she is sharing her past struggles with the world. Feed is now available for viewers to watch in the U.S. and Troian couldn’t be more grateful that her story has finally been told.

“I know that this is a complicated film (it could potentially trigger some people so I hope you take the time to assess if you want to watch it or feel ready to watch it.)
