Rebecca Black just dropped a brand new single, “The Great Divide”.

The 19-year-old singer, who came onto the scene with “Friday” years ago, premiered the new song and told Entertainment Weekly all about it.

“‘Friday’ was a part of my life, but I don’t know if I would say it’s a part of me as an artist,” Rebecca shared of the viral hit. “So many people know me just by that song, but I’m much more than that.”

She added about “The Great Divide”: “It’s definitely one of the most meaningful things I’ve written for myself. As I’ve grown up, I’ve realized there are certain people I’ve let into in my life that aren’t healthy for me. This song is about letting those people go and feeling power in knowing that’s the best decision for you.”
