Rowan Blanchard Reveals How She Got Her Role in 'A Wrinkle In Time'

Rowan Blanchard is spilling on how she got her role in A Wrinkle in Time!

The 16-year-old actress explained how reading the book and her social media connection with director Ava DuVernay helped her nab the role.

“I read the book in third grade and did a book report on it, but my character isn’t in the book. It is really exciting and surreal,” Rowan explained to W Magazine.

She added, “Ava and I followed each other on Twitter, and I wrote her this birthday message that I sent to her manager. When I found out she was casting for this movie, I told the universe, ‘I need to be a part of this in anyway that you see fit.’ I got a call to read for this part and I got it.”

We can’t wait to see Rowan in the movie when it premieres on March 9th!
