'Riverdale's Newest Addition Might Be Out to Get Betty Cooper!

There’s a new character headed to Riverdale and she might be out to get Betty!

Earlier this month, it was announced that Evelyn Evernever would be joining the cast of characters and now more details are being revealed about her.

Evelyn was originally featured in the Little Archie comics and in several issues of Betty & Veronica Spectacular. Evelyn was Archie’s first kiss in the comics and was revealed to be his kidnapper when he mysteriously goes missing.

“Evelyn is a big member of the Farm. She is going to be a student in Riverdale High. She is going to have some tension with Betty. And you definitely don’t know what her agenda is. As you’ll see, some bad things start happening and it always seems that Evelyn is kind of lurking in the background of them,” series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told Seventeen at New York Comic Con.

Now, according to a casting notice found by That Hashtag Show, we’re getting more details about what kind of actor will take on the role.

“[EVELYN EVERNEVER] Female, Late Teens – Early 20’s to play Late Teens, Open Ethnicity. Otherworldly, seemingly omnipresent, and a bit odd. She’s eager to befriend Betty, and is surprisingly insightful for her age, but may be hiding dark secrets about herself. (While not required, a possible direction for the role is a girl who is physically reminiscent of ‘Betty’.) MAJOR RECURRING GUEST STAR,” the casting call reads.

While we don’t know who will play Evelyn just yet, we’re sure we’ll find out more on this season of Riverdale!
