Taylor Swift Is Not Performing at Grammys 2020 & Reportedly Not Attending Either
Fans who were hoping to see Taylor Swift at the 2020 Grammy Awards this weekend are going to be a little disappointed.
Despite having three nominations and one of the biggest albums of the year, the 30-year-old singer is reportedly not going to be at the show. Taylor was even planning a surprise performance, but those plans have been scrapped, according to Variety.
Taylor was possibly going to sing “The Man,” a song from her recent album Lover. There are rumors that the drama surrounding the Recording Academy and ousted CEO Deborah Dugan could have led to the cancellation of Taylor‘s performance.
Just last night, Taylor was in Utah for the 2020 Sundance Film Festival premiere of her documentary Miss Americana. She flew back to L.A. right after the premiere and insiders thought she was traveling back so quickly to get ready for the Grammys.
Taylor is nominated for three awards this year – Best Pop Vocal Album for Lover, Song of the Year for “Lover,” and Best Pop Solo Performance for “You Need to Calm Down.”
