Saniyya Sidney Cast as Sasha Obama In Upcoming Series 'The First Lady'

The actress who will portray Sasha Obama in an upcoming television show has been found!

Saniyya Sidney has joined the cast of the Showtime series as the former first daughter, Deadline reveals.

She will star alongside Lexi Underwood, who will play Malia Obama. Find out more here!

This project will also reunite Saniyya and Viola Davis, who will portray Michelle Obama, as they were in the movie Fences together. You may also recognize the young actress from Hidden Figures, season six of American Horror Story, or her most recent role in the show The Passage.

She will also be seen in the upcoming movie King Richard, where she plays a young Venus Williams!
