Disney+ Announces Premiere Date For Marvel's 'Daredevil,' 'Iron Fist' & More, Updates Parental Controls

Disney+ has just revealed that all of the Marvel TV shows that were on Netflix are heading to their service, and very soon!

The streamer just revealed the release date for the following Marvel shows: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, The Punisher and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

If you remember, fans noticed early in February that these shows were being removed from Netflix by the end of that month.

No announcement was made at the time regarding the series, and when the Disney+ March releases were revealed, the Marvel shows weren’t on the list.

Now, we know when they will be added to Disney+, and the streamer is also updating their parental controls for more mature content, like the Marvel shows.

“Disney+ has served as the home for some of the most beloved brands in the industry, and the addition of these live-action shows brings more from the Marvel brand together, all in one place,” Michael Paull, President of Disney Streaming, shared in a statement. “We have experienced great success with an expanded content offering on Disney+ across our global markets and are excited to continue that here in the U.S. as well by offering our consumers not only great content with the new Marvel additions, but also a set of features that help ensure a viewing experience most suitable for them and their family.”

All of the aforementioned shows will drop on Disney+ on March 16th!

The updated parental controls will go into effect on March 16th, and users will be prompted when opening Disney+ to update their parental controls.

According to Disney+, “This includes the option to select content ratings restrictions for each profile as well as to add a PIN to lock profiles. Those that choose to keep their settings the same will continue to enjoy Disney+ as they always have within a TV-14 content rating environment, with the option to make changes at any time under Profile settings.”

These shows join several other Marvel titles, giving fans a one-stop shop for all things Marvel. There are also nine more Marvel shows coming, plus more movie releases in theaters!
