New Details Revealed About Disney+'s Ad Supported Tier Coming Out

Disney+ is launching a new, ad-supported subscription later this year.

First announced a couple months ago, the new sub tier will be a lower cost option, and we are learning some new details about the upcoming option.

Ahead of the Disney Upfronts earlier this week, it was revealed that the company will be shying away from alcohol and political ads, nor will they be taking ads from rival outlets or entertainment studios, Variety reports.

The streaming service will also be “cautious about running commercials alongside shows aimed at pre-school audiences,” and they will not be running ads when an “individual user profile in control of the viewing experience indicates a young child is watching.”

Viewers will also be excited to learn that that ads on Disney+ will only be an average of four minutes per one hour or less.
