Written and directed by Kelly Blatz, the film follows a dishonorably discharged soldier (Apa) seeks out his estranged father to help him pursue his dream of racing Supersport motorcycles. While training, he meets a small-town aspiring singer who begins to break down the walls his father’s absence had built up.

KJ and Kelly have reportedly been developing the movie for over a year.

Kelly’s engaging script brings you right into the dangerous, exciting world of Supersport motorcycle racing,” Gulfstream’s Mike Karz and Bill Bindley shared in a statement. “We’re absolutely thrilled to work with K.J. again, and with Kelly to bring this story to all the passionate racing fans worldwide.”

Filming on the project is set to begin in Atlanta later this month.

Following the season six wrap of Riverdale, KJ was originally supposed to film a Wonder Twins movie for Warner Bros, to air on HBO Max, but that got scrapped a month later due to the Warner Bros Discovery merger.
