'Riverdale' Wraps Season 6 Filming, Showrunner & Cast Reveal

That’s a wrap on season six of Riverdale!

The CW series is currently in the midst of it’s second-to-last season on the network, and the cast just wrapped filming the final episodes.

Over the past week, stars of the show shared posts on social media marking that they wrapped filming, while others were still finishing up their last scenes.

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa also took to Instagram over the weekend to share the news that filming has commenced for all.

Incredibly grateful to the amazing, truly inexhaustible cast, crew, writers, directors, and editors who have been working non-stop to finish strong, like the champions they are. Truly in awe of this group. Humbled by their talent and commitment and artistry. Excited for our last batch of episodes. And about SEASON SEVEN!!!!!!!!! β€οΈπŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ†πŸŽ­πŸΏπŸ’‹πŸ•·β˜ οΈ,” Roberto shared, along with a photo of Lili Reinhart on the monitor.

The cast will seemingly be getting a few months off before they get back to work on the seventh and final season of their show. See what the network president said about giving the show a proper sendoff.

If you didn’t know, Riverdale’s final season will NOT be premiering this fall, but has instead moved to midseason, along with a few other big CW shows.

The next new episode of Riverdale will air THIS upcoming Sunday (June 26) on The CW.
