New 'Alien' Franchise Film Sets Young Cast Ahead of Start of Production This Month

The sci-fi, action, horror film franchise Alien is getting a brand new movie!

This will be the ninth movie in the franchise and 20th Century Studios just revealed the young stars of the film.

Evil Dead‘s Fede Alvarez is set to direct the pic, from a screenplay he wrote alongside frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues.

Ridley Scott, who directed the first Alien movie, will produce through his banner Scott Free with Michael Pruss, as well Brent O’Connor, Elizabeth Cantillon and Tom Moran.

According to 20th Century, the upcoming movie follows “a group of young people on a distant world who find themselves in a confrontation with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

Filming is set to begin NEXT Thursday (March 9) in Budapest.
