'Twilight' TV Series Being Developed at Lionsgate Television, Details are Emerging

Twilight fans are going to get another opportunity to return to Forks, Washington to revisit their favorite vampires and werewolves!

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, a new television series is being developed that will revisit the world that was created by author Stephenie Meyer. Of course, her novels already got a big-screen adaptation with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner taking the three main roles.

The report suggests that Lionsgate Television is working on the project, but that it is in the very earliest planning phases. A writer has not yet signed on to develop a screenplay. However, it looks like Stephenie will be involved in some capacity.

We’ll keep you up to date as we learn more about the project and any stars that might be attached to it. He’ll be too old to play Edward now, but Stephenie has previously revealed the actor that she wanted for the role.

On the topic of Twilight, earlier this year Taylor opened up about his real-life relationship with Robert and how playing enemies on the big screen affected them.

The news comes just a few days after it was confirmed that Harry Potter would also be reimagined as a TV series, too.
