Threads Unveils Exciting New Features 2 Weeks Post Launch - Uncover the Details!

Threads has been out for two weeks now and there were some new features that have been added in the past few days!

The new social media site is a text-based spinoff of Instagram, hailing from parent company Meta.

In it’s first week, they gained 100 million users who signed up, and it has only risen since then, with many celebrities also taking full advantage of the new app.

While the launch saw the basics of the app, they did vow that more features were in the works and on the way to enhance the user experience.

A few of those features have been integrated with a new update this week.

One big change is the addition of the “For You”/”Following” feeds on the main, home page. You can now toggle between what kind of content you’re seeing, either from who you follow PLUS suggested posts, or just from those you follow.

Another new addition was one of the highly most asks in the first week of the app, translations! Threads posts are now automatically translated based on the language they are written and the language settings of who is viewing it. If you are looking to translate a post, there’s a little translate icon in the bottom right corner of a Threads post.

Also new to Threads is new categories to sort your activity feed, you can filter by follows, quotes and reposts; a follow button on your followers list to easily follow others back; you can now go back and see what posts you have liked in your settings; the option for private accounts to do a batch “approve all” in the follow requests.

Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, shared, “This is just the beginning. Thanks for the feedback as always – please keep sending through as we make even more updates to improve your experience on this app.”
