Dara Renee wrote the song for her character Kourtney in season three, alongside Anthony M. Jones and Steph Jones.

“I wanted to create a song that encourages people to keep fighting through all their trials and tribulations,” Dara told Billboard, adding, “and most importantly for them to know that they are not alone in this battle. This song is about my thought process during an anxiety attack and how I push to overcome it. Ain’t nothing, not even myself gonna get in the way of this victory, HERE I COME!! Y’all, ready?”

“[This song is] one of the things that I’ve always wanted to hopefully create because it was really hard for me, especially in high school, going through that,” she told Seventeen. “So to know that other people could listen to something that I created and actually feel better is so important to me.”
