Robert Pattinson Competed With 9 Stars to Play Edward in 'Twilight,' (Including Author Stephenie Meyer's First Choice!)

Dustin Milligan told Access Hollywood that he “did my best Edward Cullen” but was not able to land the role. He even joked about what lost him the role: “Unfortunately, I didn’t have a British accent. So, I didn’t get the job!” He also complimented Robert‘s voice, saying, “Ladies love that. Melt!”

The actor, who played Ted on Schitt’s Creek, has worked with Kristen before, and he also opened up about that experience. “Kristen was actually a remarkable young woman. I met her when she was 15. And she at times would be acting like she was a 15-year-old and for most of the time behaving like a 40-year-old,” he recalled. “She’s really really smart, very self-assured, she knows how she is.”
