Disney Debuts 'Descendants: The Rise of Red' Premiere Date & New Teaser - Watch Now!

We have a brand new look at the upcoming Descendants: The Rise of Red!

The new Disney musical movie will be the fourth in the Descendants franchise and it’s set to premiere on Disney+ this summer with an almost entirely all new cast.

Formerly titled The Pocketwatch, the movie follows Red, the rebellious daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Chloe, Cinderella’s perfectionist daughter. When the tyrannical Queen of Hearts incites a coup against Auradon, polar opposites Red and Chloe must join forces and travel back in time to undo the traumatic event that set Red’s mother down her villainous path.

Disney star Kylie Cantrall will be playing Red, with Malia Baker as Chloe.

The cast also includes new and returning characters and actors, including Brandy as Cinderella, Melanie Paxson as Fairy Godmother, Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts, Dara Renee as Uliana, China Anne McClain as Uma, and Ruby Rose Turner, Joshua Colley, Peder Lindell, Grace Narducci, Jeremy Swift, Paolo Montalban, Leonardo Nam and Morgan Dudley.

Descendants: The Rise of Red will feature seven brand new songs, two reprises and a cover of “So This Is Love” from the Cinderella animated film!

The new movie musical will debut July 12th on Disney+ and on August 9th on Disney Channel. The soundtrack will also be released on July 12th.
