Peacock Has Removed Selena Gomez Kidney Transplant References From 'Saved By The Bell'

Peacock is taking an extra step after the new series Saved By The Bell sparked a lot of backlash over the weekend.

After the show premiered on the streaming platform, fans noticed a couple of scenes that talked about Selena Gomez‘s kidney transplant, and called them out.

Peacock has since issued an apology, and noted they were going to be making a donation to Selena‘s charity, The Selena Gomez Fund for Lupus Research at USC.

Now, the platform has actually removed the scenes from the show, following all of the backlash and controversy, People confirms.

Though Selena hasn’t spoken out about the situation, her friend and donor Francia Raisa has.

“Appreciate the apology but let’s not forget about the donors that potentially felt offended and dismissed from the spray paint written on the wall,” she wrote on Twitter.

“As a kidney donor I want to show love and let other donors know that you are not alone. You are seen. You are appreciated. You are so brave and your selfless act is very much appreciated and valued!” Francia added.
