Gina looked chic in a red coat as she stepped out, waving to fans following her appearance on the show.
During her appearance, Gina talked about wearing a #TimesUp ribbon with “X2″ written on it at the 2019 Golden Globes: “I can say that the initiative for this year was to double the number…you hire one female, hire two…the idea that that’s how easy it is to create change,” she explained.
The 34-year-old actress voices the iconic character in the new Netflix series, which premieres TOMORROW, January 18th.
“We give her an origin story,” Gina shared with People. “It’s just lovely to revive that character but also put her in the context of a multi-dimensional, complex woman which we need to see more vision of, you know. We need to see versions of that.”
She adds, “I think adults will enjoy the nostalgia, and it really does play out like a fun spy show. But I’m most excited to binge this with my nieces and nephews — I feel blessed that we get to bring Carmen to the next generation.”
In anticipation of the show, an interactive experience has been set up at TheCarmenEffect.com that will give readers a look into the iconic character’s incredible influence over the years.

The Jane the Virgin star got real with the glossy, opening up about accepting her body, her upcoming film, Miss Bala, and how she deals with her anxiety.
“It’s interesting. As a performer, you have to quite literally bury your life,” she shared. “At the same time, every day on-set I’m like, How the hell did I get this lucky? To live out your dreams is a really surreal experience.”
Gina adds, recalling one particular moment where “the anxiety started coming, like, two years into Jane. I had my first panic attack at a sushi restaurant.”
“All of a sudden, I thought I was going to die, and people are taking pictures. It was horrendous. There are a lot of things in the manual of living out your dreams that you don’t know about. Like you don’t have any more friends. You never go out to eat. You never see your family, your boyfriend, girlfriend, or whatever you have….”

Gina will be hitting the stage tonight to present an award. She won her first Golden Globe award in 2015.

The Big Mouth star lends her vocal talents to the lead character in the new series, inspired by the original Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? games and TV show.
The series follows the adventures of Carmen Sandiego, a globe-hopping master thief.
“Everybody asks ‘WHERE is Carmen Sandiego?’, but nobody asks ‘WHO is Carmen Sandiego?’” the trailer description reads. “The iconic woman in red returns for new international capers and a peek into her past.”

The upcoming series will star Gina Rodriguez as Carmen Sandiego and Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard as her accomplice Player, based on the original games and TV series Where in The World Is Carmen Sandiego, which originally aired on PBS from 1991 to 1995.
The reboot promises to explore Carmen’s origin story, and show audiences how the international, hard-to-catch thief came to be.
The upcoming reboot will feature 20 22-minute episodes, and is set to debut on the streaming service on January 18, 2019.
