Aly Raisman was one of over 150 women who spoke at former doctor Larry Nassar hearing last week, reading a victim impact statement that he didn’t want to hear.

Now, the Olympic medalist, is opening up in several interviews about what it felt like to speak in court, where he was sitting only feet away from her.

“In that moment, I almost felt like I was going to compete, because at the Olympics, you block out everything, and in that moment, I blocked out everything,” Aly shared with Today on Thursday (January 25). “I forgot that people were watching me, I forgot the media was over there, I forgot that Larry was right there. I just spoke, and I felt like I really had to be strong.”

While she did prep for the hearing, Aly still felt sick after her speech.

“I almost passed out [after giving testimony],” she shared. “I had the worst headache for hours. Even since then – I still don’t feel good now…It’s hard to put into words, but it makes me literally sick, all the stress and the trauma of everything.”

She adds, “For that moment, I had to be strong. But I’m very, very exhausted from it.”

Aly Raisman hit the red carpet at the Sports Illustrated Models Bungalow Party!

The Olympic gymnast stepped out for the event held at the W South Beach hotel on Thursday (December 7) in Miami.

She looked gorgeous in a long-sleeve silver dress and nude heels, styling her hair into a pretty ponytail and completing her look with strawberry stud earrings and warm makeup.

At the event, guests were treated to a sneak peek of Sports Illustrated’s SI Swimsuit Island as part of 2017 Art Basel.

The Shake It Up alum turned heads while arriving at the event held during New York Fashion Week at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown on Friday (September 8) in New York City.

“I feel like a princess,” Bella captioned the Instagram video below.

She truly looked like like one in her light purple gown, which she paired with white ankle-strap pumps, black and silver accessories, red lipstick, and her hair up and partly curled.

Also in attendance was U.S. gymnast and two-time Olympian Aly Raisman, looking gorgeous in a semi-sheer bodycon dress adorned with a sequined design.

Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Madison Kocian, Laurie Hernandez and Gabby Douglas just received a huge honor, a year after their historic Olympics win!

Over the weekend, the ladies of the Final Five were inducted into the Gymnastics Hall Of Fame!

Simone, Aly, Laurie and Madison all headed to a ceremony to accept their honor. It sounds like Gabby wasn’t in attendance because she’s already been inducted!

“USA Gymnastics Hall Of Fame 2017 | honored to be inducted with these girls, love yall,” Simone wrote on her Instagram.

Laurie added, “it was such an honor to be inducted into the hall of fame with these incredible girls. all glory to God.”

To us, Ashley Wagner is the face of figure skating right now, and in her essay about the sport, you can see her love for it.

The athlete, who is the reigning U.S. National Silver Medalist, defended her words in the mag on twitter, when one site took the piece like Ashley was apologizing for even being in the sport to begin with.

“I saw in an interview one time, someone said instead of picking myself apart in the mirror, which is what so many people do, I start the day by telling myself that I look good and to focus on being a good person, working hard, and being smart and that makes me feel more beautiful and more confident,” Aly writes for the glossy.

“When you feel confident in the kind of person you are, everything else falls into place.”

She adds, “But you can’t rely on someone else to make you feel confident. You have to figure it out from within. Sometimes people expect others to make them feel confident and there is so much pressure if you’re in a relationship [for] the other person has to make you feel confident, but you have to love yourself first before you can really be happy.”
