Emma Stone would be just about every high school boy’s dream date — and for one 17-year-old prom-goer, he almost made his dreams a reality.
Jacob Staudenmaier invited the La La Land actress to his prom, which just happened to be taking place in her hometown of Scottsdale, Arizona, and she actually responded!
Jacob created a La La Land-inspired video, rewriting the lyrics to “Another Day of Sun” and recreating the film’s opening scene in his high school parking lot. As these things do, it went crazy viral.
Emma was super impressed.
“Jacob, thanks for making the greatest proposal I have ever received,” Emma wrote. “I can’t tell you what an honor that was and how much I smiled through that entire beautifully orchestrated video. I’m in London working, but I hope you have the best time at prom, and I’m grateful you thought of me. Thank you. P.S. I do see Gosling around the eyes. Love, Emma.”
Jacob read the message on Good Morning America this morning, and while he didn’t get the date, he did get Emma Stone to tell him he looks like Ryan Gosling — which, in our book, is much, much better.

Although Emma has yet to respond to the invite, Jacob told USA Today that he has heard rumors that Emma‘s mom has seen the clip.
Academy Award winner (aw, that has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it!) Emma Stone used her high profile last night to make some subtle, but strong, political statements last night.

Despite splitting in 2015, Emma and Andrew seem to be taking the road less traveled by, at least when it comes to public celebrity splits. They frequently speak about one another in interviews, praising each other’s work and success, and there has never been a public word of animosity between them.
When we look at splits like Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift, or Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, friendship rarely tends to follow high-profile celebrity break-ups. Maybe Emma and Andrew are just best friends, and always will be.
Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone are totally BFF goals and now they’re opening up about how they became friends.
The friends recently explained that they were introduced by their mutual co-star Woody Harrelson and then texted each other every day for a year!
“I feel like it was our version of The Notebook – 365 texts,” Jennifer joked in an interview with Vanity Fair.
She also opened up about why their friendship works, even in a competitive place like Hollywood.
“I love my job. I don’t know what I would be without acting. So if there is someone who loves the same thing, it should bring us closer. But it depends on how that person is, and Emma is so normal and lovely. If I wasn’t her biggest fan, I would’ve Tonya Harding‘d her in the kneecaps,” Jennifer said.
Emma added, “She may not even know this, but there was definitely a time early on when I was like ‘OH HEY MY EGO IS GOING NUTS SHE’S SO GREAT AND VIBRANT AND TALENTED I’M SCREWED I’LL NEVER WORK AGAIN GOODBYE YELLOW BRICK ROAD.’ Then I chilled the f**k out and remembered we’re completely different and there is room for everyone, even if it’s an industry that doesn’t really seem to support that idea up front.”
“We both really do love each other and care about each other as people, beyond being actors. I support her completely when it comes to work and I feel the same from her, but I know we’d be friends even if we didn’t do the same job,” Emma continued.
