She fast-forwarded through my entire part! She would stop and watch when [Matthew] McConaughey would come on screen, and fast-forwarded again through my response. That took my down a notch.”

The 21-year-old Zombieland actress shared with MTV, “She’s so great! We’re very different, but she has such a sick sense of humor. Nobody knows that. She’s so great. People know … how hilarious she is. They’ve seen her on SNL. People are seeing it more now, and she’s so funny and she’s exactly who you think she is, and I love that.”
Emma also dished on how the two first met — Taylor turned Emma into a fan! “We met at the Young Hollywood Awards for Hollywood Life magazine. We met there three years ago, and then I listened to some of her music, and I wrote her an e-mail saying I liked her music, I swear. And then we started talking and hanging out.”

Based on Kathryn Stockett‘s best-selling novel of the same name, Emma is looking to play lead character Skeeter Phelan, a white recent college graduate living in the South in the early 1960s.
Skeeter is a young woman who is uncomfortable with the current social norms of her Mississippi, where the black maids do all the work and receive none of the respect. She sets out to write a book chronicling the maids’ experiences, a tell-all that uncovers the racism, cruelty and deplorable actions of the white society women, some of whom are her own friends.
