Fans got the shocking news on Tuesday (August 2) that Batgirl will no longer be released.
The DC movie was to star Leslie Grace in the title role of Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, and was planned for HBO Max.
Following the Warner Bros Discovery merger, the new CEO is making changes and the film became one of the projects shelved, despite it already being done filming and going through test screenings.

Leslie Grace and Jacob Scipio get to work on the set of Batgirl on Tuesday (January 18) in Glasgow, Scotland.
The 27-year-old actress and the Bad Boys for Life actor masked up as they arrived on set alongside fellow cast member Ivory Aquino.
Not much has been revealed about the plot of Batgirl, except that it will focus on Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Gotham police commissioner Jim Gordon, played by J.K. Simmons. It’s believed that Michael Keaton will be reprising his role as Batman in the movie.
