“Been online the past day. Seeing all the things you guys have been saying, so many emotions and I’m right there with you,” Kalin wrote. “I don’t know what the right words are to say here other than I’m unbelievably grateful for your support and I love you guys.”
He added, “I’m excited about this next chapter in my life. Having you on this journey with me means the world to me.”
“2016 has begun with many changes in our world, one of which was parting ways with our record label. This new found independence has allowed us to take some time to reflect and decide how we would like to move forward in our careers,” they wrote.
“After a lot of thought, we’ve decided to take a break from making music together to focus on individual aspirations. The past five years together as Kalin and Myles have been amazing. It has been incredible traveling around sharing our music and getting to meet so many of you. Getting to know you and grow up with you has been a privilege. Your support has allowed us to chase our dreams and we are forever grateful. We have grown a lot during this time and our hearts are now in different places.
“Although this will be the start of a new chapter, the one thing that will remain the same is our support for each other and all of you. We’re excited about the future for all of us. Thank you for everything. We love y’all!”

Kalin and Myles show off their handwritten cards for their new campaign with DoSomething.org and CVS Health.
The hip-hop duo are the faces for the Quitters Always Win campaign, which is all about young people making cards for smokers in their life to help them kick the habit.
“Nearly 70% of smokers want to quit (nice!). But but only 4% to 6% who attempt to quit are successful (boo). Share a handmade card encouraging a smoker to quit,” the campaign’s initiative reads.

We were excited for Kalin & Myles‘ new album before, but now we’re wanting it RIGHT.NOW!
The guys — Kalin White and Myles Parrish — slipped us a track called “Hands All Over You” from the record and it’s safe to say that we’re obsessed.
“‘Hands All Over You’ is definitely one that sounds different on the album,” they shared with us about the tune. “We feel like this one has a lane of it own with a catchy throw back hook!”

The guys – Kalin White and Myles Parrish – opened up to the glossy about their debut album and how they built up their fan base. Check it:
On starting out: “We would promote the shows on Facebook and push them out to everyone we know and it would take like three hours, thousands of clicks. When we would see certain girls that would keep coming back, and know the songs, and be into it, and some would make their own t-shirts. This was within the first five months of us dropping the song. People were coming from a couple hours away, that was pretty legit. I think that, too, inspired us to make it work.”
On their fans: “We were hungry for it, at first, we wanted to just try to play wherever we could, whoever would let us play. [Austin Mahone] pretty much had the place sold out, so that was our first time performing in front of a big crowd like that. We got to know these girls really well, and they helped us get a really good show back home.”
On their new album: “Just the way that people listen to music these days, I don’t feel anybody’s stuck in one genre. I feel like a lot of our inspirations are coming from a bunch of different genres, and I feel that it’s natural for it to translate that way when we’re making music.”
