The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards are happening this weekend and Katy Perry is the host… so, will she and Taylor Swift reunite at the show to put an end to their feud?
The 32-year-old singer is opening up in a new interview about the possibility of them doing something together at the show. Taylor is not slated as an attendee as of now, but with the rumors she has new music on the way, perhaps she’ll be surprising us all!
“Listen, I’d love for the beef to end. I’d love to take if off the BBQ. I’m down, but I haven’t heard anything of it,” Katy told SiriusXM Hits 1′s Morning Mash Up.

The singer-songwriter dons a cool Moonman suit for the big announcement.
“I’ve been training with MTV in zero gravity, eating astronaut ice cream, and I’m on a group text with Buzz Aldrin and Neil deGrasse Tyson. Come August 27th, I’ll be ready to be your MOONWOMAN! Brace for impact, kids,” Katy shared said in a statement.

Katy Perry really wants to put her drama with Taylor Swift behind her!
The 32-year-old entertainer explained that it’s all love despite their past feud while making an appearance on Australia’s Today show.
“I mean, I love her, I always have. We’ve had our differences but I just continue to say, ‘God bless her on her journey,’” Katy said.
Earlier this year, Katy apologized for anything she had done to Taylor and said she was ready to put their differences behind them.
Taylor has not yet formally responded to Katy‘s peace offering.

The two both were at The Voice Australia, and snapped a video together on Katy‘s Instagram Story, captioning it, “@niallhoran stage 5 clinger.”
Katy and Niall exchanged hellos before she said, “You’re following me.” Niall replied, “Yeah, everywhere.”
In a recent interview, Katy had said that Niall was always flirting with her and trying to get her number. And Niall responded in another interview that he just wants to be friends with her and that she should stop being mean to him.

The song is a love song to the LGBTQ community and both Halsey and Lauren are bisexual, so the female pronouns in the song matter.
In a new interview, the 22-year-old “Now or Never” singer talks about how her label actually wanted her to record the duet with Katy Perry instead.
“I was like, I’m not putting an artist on this song unless they’re f*ing gay,” she remembered to Vulture.
While Halsey is of course free to record with whoever she wants to, it isn’t totally fair to judge other peoples’ sexualities, which they are figuring out for themselves. Katy has alluded to struggling with her sexuality growing up in a religious household, and she has every right to label — or not label — herself however she chooses to.
We understand and respect Halsey‘s desire to be as true to the LGBTQ community as possible, but speculating on others’ sexualities is not necessary to do so.
