Disney+ just debuted the trailer for the upcoming The Clone Wars spinoff series, which premiere on Star Wars Day, May 4th.
The brand new series follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in The Clone Wars) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army—each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.
News of The Bad Batch was first announced in July 2020. The show will debut with a special 70-minute premiere, followed by brand new episodes every Friday, starting May 7th.
Disney+ has picked up it’s first ever Emmy Awards for it’s original content!
The streaming platform launched in November 2019, and one of the biggest draws for originals was the Star Wars series The Mandalorian.
The show became a mega hit with fans and is now award winning.
The Mandalorian won five of it’s 15 2020 Emmy Awards nominations on Wednesday evening (September 16). The trophies they received were for visual effects, sound editing, sound mixing, production design and cinematography.
Other nominations include Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for Taika Waititi as IG-11, Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series for Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup For A Series, Limited Series, Movie Or Special, Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Original Dramatic Score), Outstanding Stunt Coordination For A Drama Series, Limited Series Or Movie, Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, and three noms in the Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Drama Series category.
There are still two more nights of handing out awards, and the show could very well pick up more, including the big award of Outstanding Drama Series. Stay tuned!

Disney+ has just revealed that the upcoming second season of The Mandalorian will premiere on Friday, October 30th.
“This is the day. New episodes start streaming Oct. 30 on #DisneyPlus. #TheMandalorian,” Disney accounts shared on social media.
Fans have been waiting and anticipating for more since the season one finale in December 2019.
While not much is known about the upcoming second season, we do know that Timothy Olyphant and Rosario Dawson have both joined the cast. Stay tuned for more info as soon as it’s released.
The show’s hit first season is currently nominated for a whopping 15 Emmy awards this year!

Disney+ is releasing a brand new LEGO Star Wars special!
The streaming platform will premiere a new Holiday special, bringing fans to Chewbacca’s homeworld of Kashyyyk for a Wookiee-sized celebration of the galaxy’s most cheerful and magical holiday, Life Day.
The special will pick up directly after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and will see Rey as she leaves her friends to prepare for Life Day and sets off on a new adventure with BB-8 to gain a deeper knowledge of the Force.
At a mysterious Jedi Temple, she is hurled into a cross-timeline adventure through beloved moments in Star Wars cinematic history, coming into contact with Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan and other iconic heroes and villains from all nine Skywalker saga films. But will she make it back in time for the Life Day feast and learn the true meaning of holiday spirit?
The new LEGO special will be the first to premiere on Disney+ and you can catch it on Tuesday, November 17th.
