In a new interview with THR, the 21-year-old actor, who now plays Nate in HBO’s Euphoria, has a much different opinion of his breakout role than he once did.
“It’s two completely different experiences,” Jacob shares about his roles. “The Kissing Booth was the first film I ever made, it was sort of my ticket to Hollywood so I was really grateful for that.”
He continued that “it’s almost like righting my wrongs a little bit too, because the character in The Kissing Booth is awful and it’s never really explained.”
“He’s kind of idolized and made into a hero, so I suppose this show is showing why.”
TELL JJJ: What did you think about Jacob’s role in The Kissing Booth? Is he the best or not?
The Kissing Booth sequel is filming now in South Africa.
Netflix released the new info this week, and we definitely need to be worried.
Here’s the official synopsis: “Elle Evans (Joey King) just had the most romantic summer of her life with her reformed bad-boy boyfriend Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi). But now Noah is off to Harvard, and Elle heads back to high school for her senior year. She’ll have to juggle a long-distance relationship, getting into her dream college with her best friend Lee (Joel Courtney), and the complications brought on by a close friendship with a handsome, charismatic new classmate named Marco (Taylor Perez).”
It continues, “When Noah grows close to a seemingly-perfect college girl (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Elle will have to decide how much she trusts him and to whom her heart truly belongs.”
Director and screenwriter Vince Marcello is back for The Kissing Booth 2, based on characters from Beth Reekles‘ 2012 young adult book.
Netflix announced that Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Taylor Perez are joining the cast of The Kissing Booth 2 in a post on Instagram on Thursday (May 30).
Joey King and Joel Courtney, who starred in the original film on Netflix, appeared in the post to make the announcement.
The post, which contains a series of short video clips, officially welcomes Maisie and Taylor to the Kissing Booth fam.
“Who’s kissing who?💋 @maisiersellers & @taylorzakharperez are shaking things up for The Kissing Booth 2! #💋✌️,
” Netflix wrote in a new Instagram post announcing the casting news.
Elle Evans seems to have finally tamed hotter-than-hot bad boy Noah Flynn, but now they’re facing a new challenge. Noah’s 3,000 miles away at Harvard, which means they’re officially a long-distance couple – and it’s tough. After all, there’s only so much texts and calls can satisfy – and when Elle sees a post which suggests Noah’s getting friendly with someone else, she’s devastated.
On top of that, it’s hard to ignore new boy Levi. He’s gentle, sweet, cute – and definitely interested in Elle.
With her heart on the line, what’s a girl to do?
