We know there are some haters out there of the pairing of Klaus and Caroline from The Originals…however, they’re in the minority.
Especially since now we know that even the cast are big fans of the pairing.
Claire Holt and Riley Voelkel both opened up about their feelings about the on-screen couple and it’s about the best thing ever.
“Yes! I’m rooting for Klaus to be with anyone at this point, honestly,” Claire revealed to TV Guide in a new interview. “I just want him to, like, settle down and find a nice gal. They’re kind of like Marcel and Rebekah, there’s been love there for a long time, so we’ll see.”
Riley, who plays Freya, is just as excited for the couple.
“I know the fans really love them, and [Candice is] just amazing on and off screen,” she shared, “I think it’s just always exciting to do any kind of crossover from the shows. We’ve enjoyed having anyone from The Vampire Diaries come over and vice versa, and it just is kind of extra special, especially for the fans. So I’m very excited about her coming.”
The Originals is back NEXT Wednesday, April 18th on The CW.
“He and Rebekah got a nice penthouse and they’re doing really good,” Charles shares. “They’re coping. Rebekah is upset about the fact that she can’t be with her family. That does create a little bit of tension.
For Kol, he’s trying to balance his family with his new role as husband to Davina.
“Now that he has this responsibility with his wife, he now also has the struggle with his family,” Nate says.

Candice King has 17 days until she returns as Caroline Forbes on The Originals – and she’s chatting all about it in her cover story with NKD magazine.
The 30-year-old actress opens up about how fans gave Klaroline life and what’s ahead of them on the final season of the show.
“Julie Plec always had a very clear idea of what she wanted for Caroline and Klaus together,” she explains. “It wasn’t exactly always in line with what the fans wanted for those characters…she wrote very important moments that she wanted for those characters, but I think she also gave a lot to the fans and what they wanted to see.”
For the final season of The Originals, fans “gave life” to a relationship that they’ve “wanted for so long”.
Candice also admits that her five-episode appearances were originally only supposed to be one.
“When Vampire ended, it was just supposed to be a quick little pop-in to say goodbye to the Caroline and Klaus storyline for the fans,’ she says. “We all felt that it would be really significant and important for anyone who supported – or ‘shipped’ as the kids say – those two together.”
But, it all changed over one dinner.
“One thing led to another, as it usually does with Julie and I. A couple bottles of wine later and I’m in five episodes of the show.”

The CW announced the shuffle today (via TVGuide), and will move the premiere to right after Riverdale‘s musical episode.
This also means that Lucy Hale‘s Life Sentence will move to Fridays, starting on April 27th.

Candice King is back as Caroline Forbes for the final season of The Originals — and thanks to EW, we have a first look photo!
Caroline is set to appear multiple times over the course of the fifth season, and in the pic, we see her first run-in with Klaus (Joseph Morgan).
The first meeting is set to take place in Europe after Rebekah asks for Caroline’s help with an intervention of sorts.
EW also revealed the first look of Jedidah Goodacre, as Hope’s school friend, Roman. If he looks familiar, he should — he’s Chad Charming from Descendants!
The Originals just dropped the first trailer for the final season and it will hit you right in all the feels.
“If the four Mikaelsons come together, it will signal darkness like we’ve never known”, the trailer warns — but that doesn’t seem to stop them from reuniting at all.
Showrunner Julie Plecexplains that “The Big Bad this year is launched from an ideology more so than one singular person’s nefarious desire.”
She adds, “It’s an ideology that was spawned almost a century ago, a movement that has been simmering and stewing over that century. It does have a personal connection to the Mikaelson family, but it also has a thematic resonance that is very timely.”
Check out the trailer below and tune in on April 20th for the season premiere on The CW!
Danielle Rose Russell might be playing Hope Mikaelson for a while longer — Deadline reports that there are plans for a potential new spinoff series, like it was predicted.
The series will star Danielle, as well as Matt Davis as Alaric, Aria Shahghasemi as Landon, and three new actors – Quincy Fouse, Jenny Boyd and Kaylee Bryant.
The potential new show won’t have a “backdoor pilot”, but instead a “short video presentation, largely compiled from scenes in the final 13-episode season of The Originals, which has been designed to lead to the potential offshoot.”
The Hope spinoff will vy for one of the pilot spots for the CW’s 2018-19 schedule.
