“We haven’t really heard anything that sounds like it and it doesn’t sound like anything we’ve done before,” Bradshared about the track. “It’s very based around the lyrics and the rhythmic elements and the melodic elements. So it’s all around the vocal and, like, how that progresses around the track.”
He adds, “You kind of get two sides of this story and it’s kind of the story of the guy who thinks that the girl he’s in love with can do better than the guy she’s with. By that, he thinks she should be with him.”
The Vamps fans got a major surprise last night during their Sao Paulo concert in Brazil — TINI!
The Argentinian-born singer joined the British band on stage for their collab “It’s A Lie” — and JJJ‘s got the video!
“Thank you so much to @TheVamps for such an amazing night in So Paulo!” Tini wrote on her Instagram later. “Thank you also to all of you who came, you had such incredible energy. I will never forget it. Now..I can’t wait to do it all again in Buenos Aires at the Luna Park.”
The Vamps added: “Thank you so much @tinitastoessel for partying with us in So Paulo tonight!”

Connor Ball has all the support he needs to arm wrestle a Viking in their new “Staying Up” music video with Matoma.
The guys — Connor, Brad Simpson, Tristan Evans, and James McVey — hit the road with Matoma in the fun video, and pick up some girls, smash fruits with baseball bats, skateboard behind the van — and more!
“Good luck to @NewHopeClub on their performance at Fusion today but more importantly their football game against The Vamps afterwards,” Connor shared on twitter, with a sly little winky face emoji.
We wonder who won…
Good luck to @NewHopeClub on their performance at Fusion today but more importantly their football game against The Vamps afterwards ????
The Vamps have teamed back up with Matoma for another super catchy track that you won’t be able to get out of your head!
The two musicians just dropped “Staying Up” this week and JJJ just can’t stop playing it. It’s so addicting!
“One of the best things to come from the release of ‘All Night’ was getting to meet and know The Vamps seriously some of the nicest guys I’ve met in the music business and also the most talented and hard-working people!” Matoma raved of the guys.
“We always talked about doing another song together like a second chapter of the story, and we came up with this fun idea ‘Staying Up’,” he adds, “For me it’s about not wanting the party to stop, and after an amazing summer that’s exactly how I’m feeling right now!”
Brad Simpson adds, “We came up with this idea for ‘Staying Up’ and the hook and the melody was just so catchy we couldn’t get it out of our heads, so we knew it was the one!”
Tristan told Bang Showbiz that the craziest thing that happened to them in the middle of the night was somehow ending up in the Scandinavian country — albeit after one too many glasses of champagne celebrating.
“We ended up in a different country we never meant to one time,” he shared. “We were in a limo and we ended up in Sweden from another country. It was fun.”
Tristan doesn’t actually remember where they were heading to in the first place: “I don’t know where we were going, it was a big night. We were just sipping on the champagne and enjoying life and ended up there.”
Stay tuned to JJJ tonight — because The Vamps have a brand new song coming out!
