Danell, who replaced John Orozco on the team, recently shared that at one point he had to remind himself why he liked gymnastics.

“I had to remind myself why it was that I was even doing the sport,” he said. “For a while, I was very worried about trying to prove myself to people. But in reality, it’s funny, I was in my bed at night, it was like a sudden thought: Wait a minute, I don’t have to prove to anybody something that I already am. And after that I was able to enjoy everything way better.”
